A Prayer for Our Reunion
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts as we gather as family. Thank You for the gift of one another — for the laughter, the memories, and the love that binds us across generations. Bless this reunion, Lord. May every conversation deepen our bonds, every meal nourish our bodies and souls, and every moment remind us of Your faithfulness. We remember those who are no longer with us and trust them to Your eternal care. Guide our steps, guard our travels, and let Your peace reign over this weekend. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.

A tree with deep roots can weather any storm. The same is true of a family grounded in faith. As we gather this weekend, we celebrate not just our shared bloodline but the spiritual heritage passed down through generations — the prayers of grandmothers, the wisdom of elders, the songs of the church.
Our ancestors knew that faith was not just a Sunday practice but a daily anchor. They prayed over their children, sang hymns in the fields, and trusted God through hardship and joy alike. That legacy is alive in this room. It is alive in you.
This weekend, let us carry that torch forward. Let us pray together, worship together, and remind the next generation that they come from a people who believed. May this reunion be a testimony — not just of where we have been, but of where God is taking us.
